Which Dress Style Suits Me? – A Series

This question has been asked time and time again in bridal boutiques up and down the country; hell, even around the globe!

The answer is very subjective. It depends on a Bride’s personal taste, style, preferences and just how they want to look and feel on their wedding day. Other people such as the bridal stylist, your family, your friends, even your husband can all have input into what they think will suit you the best, but ultimately, it’s the Bride’s decision.

To give Brides help before they even step into a bridal boutique, I’ve created a series posts breaking down the six main dress styles and the five main body shapes. Bear in mind that every body is different and every dress is different! Your body and the dress you love might have aspects of two differing styles/shapes and thats ok. This is just a guide to help Brides who might otherwise be struggling to find The One.

I will try to explain the different silhouettes and their pros and cons in this series of blog posts to help brides to make up their own decisions on what is best for them and their wedding day. The first one will be Mermaid or Trumpet; then A-Line or Ballgown and finally, Sheath or Column.
I will also be talking about body shapes. Explaining how to balance out your figure with neckline and fitting decisions and also which aspects to play down.

So if you are one of those Brides who has no idea where to start with your wedding dress shopping, have a quick read of my blog posts and get a head start before you buy your dress.
And once you have your dream dress, then it’s time to contact Addyman Alterations to make that dream dress yours!
